Training update for today

2/29/2016

Been a few days since I posted so here's an update on my daily routine.  Today so far have done 1080 strikes for iron fist/palm/STG training.  STG dragon pearl methods and meditation. 130 push-ups, 25 pull-ups.  Still got to do leg raises to complete 108 FIT for today and have evening meditations / Qi gong to do later.

This morning after morning practice I did 40 minute self healing after dropping my kids at school.  I watched the end of Victor Frankenstein and then had a shot or Burning Palm tonic before starting my midday training.

Today I have had 1350 calories so far and by the end of the day I will be at around 1550 - 1600.  I did all my training fasted after a 18 hour fast today.  Below is a picture of lunch.  A delicious chicken chipotle salad.

In our system the methods can be used to hurt or heal.  Traditionally marks left on the body can be different shades depending on how deep the strike is or how much damage is done.  A strike can be made and the energy can travel through the body and make a mark on the other side or even through objects.

In this demonstration below, Sifu Garry uses a Talisman or FU to transfer power to his son who has had no training to show how healing energy can be transferred.  The FU or Talisman is similar in ways to Reiki symbols used for healing or the FU used in Taoist Magick.

In healing, the energy can be transferred as a slap and the palm print that appears is an indication of toxins being released.  This is similar to Pai Da or Gua Sha in some ways.

These methods were given to Sifu Garry from Grand master Doo Wai.  If your interested to learn please visit the site below.

Bak Fu Sunn Yee Gung

Today Warrior Body Buddha Mind released the final seated static meditation and first seated moving meditation of the Bak Fu Sunn Yee Gung system.  This system is a real treasure and great for health and cultivation practice.

In the first level of this system, the practitioner fills the lower dantien and opens major channels in the body.  There is a sign of achievement some may experience on filling the dantien.

Unlike other popularized systems people chase seeking abilities such as Mo Pai, this system does not require semen retention and is a safe practice.  Here is the opportunity to learn a rare system of inner alchemy and as Grand Master Doo Wai says, the proof is in the results!.

Single force Daan Ging

2/13/2016

We have many methods of building power/force/ging in our system.  From our 'Dragon Chasing Pearl' we develop several things like our systems black dragon claw methods.

In this picture I am showing a method to develop Daan Ging or single force.  Daan or Dan means single whereas Sheung is double or double arm.  This method is similar in ways to using a roller bar but used only on one arm at a time with the rear hand to stabilizing.  It grinds more that the roller bar as it is more isolated and is great for developing strikes like biu jee and punch power.  We also use it as a sensitivity exercise.

The Dragon Chasing Pearl system is great for training internal powers "floating" (fou), "sinking" (chum), "swallowing" (tun) and "spitting" (tou) along with external coordination of joints to generate ging.

Happy Losar / ལོ་གསར་ 2016 !

Losar is celebrated by Tibetan Buddhists worldwide and also by Sherpa, Yolmo, Gurung, Tamang, Monpa, Bhutia, Sherdukpen and certain other Himalayan people.  It's important holiday and it's traditions are unique to Tibet and predate both Indian and Chinese influences.  Losar literally means 'New Year' and the Losar Festival in Tibet is the biggest event in the year being celebrated for 15 days!  The main celebrations of Losar however are on the first three days being, Lama Losar (day one), Gyalpo Losa and Choe-kyong Losar.  Technically, Losar is the first three days and preceding that is the Chunga Choepa for 15 days after Losar.

Chunga Choepa is the Butter Lamp Festival.  Monks perform purification rituals and then craft brightly colored and elaborate art out of yak butter that is put on display in monasteries.  Did you know that sculpting yak butter is a sacred art in Tibet?

Happy Losar from all at Warrior Body Buddha Mind!

Below, The Dalai Lama, his Holiness, speaks to Tibetans in exile and  in Tibet and as well as supporters and friends world wide as Losar (Tibetan New Year) approaches.  This was recorded from Rochester, Minnesota, USA on February 4, 2016. His Holiness The Dalai Lama speaks in Tibetan with English subtitles.

Did my Fire Palm training this morning and had memories come back from probably ten years ago.  An old friend and Sifu, Sifu Polfian Adly.  Just finished my midday Soong Tahn Ging meditation and training and had a look found some old videos.  Here is one of me messing around after training before we went for Pho.

If you come across this and you know where he is, please get in touch.  He was a good friend.

In the foundation level of our system we have a a set of strikes we practice and condition called '5 Shadow Hands'.  Each strike is a 'shadow' and is developed in a dynamic and functional way to condition the hand and body to develop ging.  Below Sifu Gary shows two of the shadows against a traditional bag.

Tibetan Fire Palm Healing Meditation / Qi Gong

Here is one of our Tibetan Fire Palm Healing Meditations or Qi Gong practices.  It builds a foundation for more advanced work later on but is itself very powerful.  As my Sifu always says, the simplest is the most profound.

The healing practices are a system in themselves but combined with our other training and meditations, they create a unique alchemy that is the fire palm energy.  It can be used to hurt or to heal but most importantly to me, these practices lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our true nature.

108 No Shadow Hands Roller Bar training

Roller bar training is traditional method mostly taught in southern Chinese boxing.  In Tibetan Fire Palm (Burning Palm Kung Fu) we have the 108 No Shadow Hands.  It trains the bridge, sensitivity, muscle memory.  It helps to develops our systems 'Spider Ghost Hands'.  Combined with the Roller Bar Qi Gong or Chi Kung, it develops ging or internal power.  Here below I talk a little about it and my Sifu, Garry Hearfield expands further in the clips below that.

I have trained in quite a few different martial arts such as Wing Chun, Jujitsu and some more esoteric ones.  My highest rank in an art was 5th degree black belt.  I'm not here to talk about those systems but it helps to have a little background I guess.  As I got older I got more interested in the esoteric side of things and became interested in magick, sorcery and meditation.  To this day I meditate for hours.  I have become unbalanced and must give more attention to the physical training as Yang develops Yin and Yin develops Yang.

After years of practice and who knows how many initiations I awakened my Kundalini.  It is not fully risen but I have found that once you go so far there is no turning back.  I had a very troubled youth and was caught up in crime, drugs and violence.  I have been involved in things that took me down a dark path.  It's not a good idea to do powerful spiritual work without guidance when your in a dark place as sometimes it can make things a lot worse.

When I met Sifu Gary Hearfield I was in a bad place.  Sifu did not judge me and has been a supportive guide and teacher through possibly some of the worst times in my life.  I consider Sifu Gary as a family member and I feel inside it is my calling to learn from him and I believe we were supposed to meet.

Thank you Sifu for all you have been to me and for the knowledge you have given freely.  I will train and not waste these treasures.

I would like to add a disclaimer that anything I add to this blog is my own opinion and where concerning Burning Palm may not necessarily be accurate or true.  I am not a Sifu in this art myself so it's only right to say that upfront.  Of course my teacher will make corrections if any stand out.
